Koralik64
The 1:48 Scale and F-22 The model comes from Hasegawa, When I build this model I tried to show the specific appearance of the HG coating. Depending on the angle of view, we have the impression that the gray color becomes metallic. For start, a few photos showing the effect depending on the angle of view. The effect is visible when viewed from the front and left or right side of the model. When we look from the back - the metallic effect isn't visible. At the end a few photos of the model.

Koralik64
If I have to write about the effect, I have to start with the important information. I do not use products from the modeling palette for painting, I work on PPG Envirobase and Sikkens Autowave II products and so these are CR products. Among these products you will find TC Tone Controler / Flop Controler and with the appropriate use of these products we can achieve such effects. I use TC in principle for everything from modulating color, through effects on engine components, nozzles, etc.

Habu12
The sheen only shows up in oblique lighting. The rest of the time, it’s flat like any other fighter. Same with the F-35. However, you managed to catch the sheen quite well. 👍🏼

I have a photo with brother, the model can be seen a little more to the side.
