H builds “A Raspberry Ripple Toucan” FINISHED

I found the Bulldog, but it was missing the decals and instructions. I obviously stored them somewhere safe where I would remember, and now I have forgotten  

Anyway I did find this

Any guesses which scheme I will be building

Another colourful subject

Started on the Tucan Tucano, cockpit walls painted in Hum64

And cockpit decals applied to the tub

This is now glued into one side of the fuse.

A little more work done today, nose weights added, fuse joined and wings added. Now just have the seams to tidy up.

As you can see, a bit of filler was needed. 

I did a dry fit of the crew, they sit too high and stop the canopy sitting right, and that’s after they have been “adjusted “ by Airfix

They fit now after some serious bottom surgery

Ripple-ing continues, just very slowly, my Hum174 red takes ages to dry properly

Looking good H. If you are having problems getting your paint to dry, it may be worth trying some Colourcoats Enamel Thinners from Sovereign Hobbies. They have a minimum order limit but you may find some of their paint colours useful on other projects - an alternative could be XtraColour thinners. I have had very few drying issues when using either of these products to thin paints for brushing.

Another alternative to Johns suggestion is leave overnight in the airing cupboard or use Mrs H's hairdryer when she's not looking !

@nimrod54, @JOCKNEY, Thanks guys. I did some “serious thinnin” (No G) to Steve Wright’s Serious Jockin (No G) on the BBC sounds app. Mrs H says I’m free to use the hairdryer, although the spiders in the shed where the boiler is have objected to the paint fumes.

Rippling has been completed. Varnish is the latest thing to fight me on this build. Went back to good old Klear on the underside.

You are only allowed to use the hairdryer if it matches your missing pink scalpel, and I want to see photos. Looking very good mate.

They get rubbed off with use on the real thing so more accurate that way
