replicant
Hello Britmodellers! This is my Academy Super Hornet in scale 1:72. Finished it in December. Super model. Decals from Kit (Cartograf). Plane of CAG Fredrick "Lucky" Luchtman in appearance of 2014. Then Captain Luchtman is now Rear Admiral U.S. Navy. There is some Revell and Hasegawa DNA together with Aires and more homemade upgrades Cheers, Tom
FIGHTS ON
superb - I have one of the new 1/72 F-4J kits from academy in the queue - these kits are very well engineered, but you seem to have delivered a real stunner there. Thanks for posting

Phone Phixer
Very nice work, looks great. Signs of wear but not over weathered.
72modeler
Tom, That's a very nice Super Bug! I really like the paint job on this one- very subtle to the eye and not overstated. Nice weapons fit, too. Mike

TBP1538
Great finish! The weathered paint and very subtle panel lines looks very realistic to me.

helium
Hello Tom, congratulations! That looks stunning! From the first picture it looks as if the windows/grills in the long door of the front gear are transparent - as in the real one ... Did you cut them out? Cheers, Holger
replicant
Hello Holger, yes i milled them out to retain the 5 stringers and glued a screen (Aber mesh) in it. I used a Revell door too to get this effect... Cheers, Tom
