Bill.B
Having been impressed by the Hobbyboss 1/350 scale Type IXC U-Boat, which features somewhere in the depths of this section, I’ve had a go at their Type VIIC sub to the same scale. This time I’ve made a waterline version using a small ‘Coastal Kits’ base which is about spot on scale wise. The model itself is built OOB and employs the supplied photo etch parts, and again I’ve used human hair for the aerial wires and superglue for the insulators. Overall I’m quite pleased, but the flag leaves a lot to be desired so I’m looking at ways of producing a more scale like item. Two Pence piece gives an idea of size. Harry Callahan
really nice model of the VII C, may i ask how did you make the water effects?
Bill.B
The base was bought from an eBay trader under the name of ‘coastal_kits’ and there are many different types and sizes of bases to cater for most modelling genres. I’m not in anyway connected to the seller, but the products, in my humble opinion, are very good for the price.
AndyPG
Incredible work. So shocked to see the scale with that 2p piece! Thought it was much bigger. Well done, Andy.
