Every-time I've tried fixing one I got a warm feeling all over and a terrific tan

I'll never own a Routemaster bus, a Porsche 956 or a D Type Jaguar, either, but I've still got "The Book" on each of them ...

What?  You keep a woman in the garage (see post above yours) ?  What needs fixing on her and do you need advice?  Does Mrs Sinnerboy know?

The cover's right - no man's ever owned one that's for sure, those that have desire's to do so are deluded, and those that think they do will find the truth sometime later

I see it's written by David Baker - which means it will be pretty good and thorough.

They went too far when they published the Austin Allegro Manual ….

Taking it apart is one thing but ......….

Who would ever want to put one of those back together ? :fraidnot:

A more fundamental question - why would anyone want to buy one in the first place?

I believe the 'How to Start' chapter is buried somewhere in the 'troubleshooting' section in the last 20 or so pages.

There is a brown one dumped on an intersection in Punta Arenas. For some reason the Chileans dump stuff and it never gets removed.

I've just been looking, on the intersection of Pedro Sarmiento de Gamboa and Gaupolican

53.09.34.31S and 70.53.35.52 on street view. on the verge on the road the camera car didn't go down.
