Old Viper Tester
While driving the Pennsylvania Turnpike a couple of days ago, I was looking at the fuel gauge, the car's read-out of predicted range, and the mile markers. Trying to decide if I should stop for petrol on the turnpike or try to make it to our exit where fuel would be cheaper. (To my wife's consternation, I still fill our autos with "petrol" even though it's been 30+ years since we returned to CONUS). While making this risk assessment, the image of a poster that was displayed in my old MoD office in London came to mind. It showed a Lynx, in silhouette, being pushed by its crew up a grade and the admonition "Don't (Never?) Pass Gas". Was thinking this might make an interesting backdrop for a diorama - crew trying to raise the RAC for delivery of a few gallons/litres. Though how to make it look like the helo ran out of fuel?? Hmmm.... Just a thought. Anyone familiar with this poster and have a digital image of it? Thanks, Sven
