So, Reini, are they all going to be military service planes? Because I've just started reading up on the civilian passenger and cargo planes in South America etc. Prop - liners like the Connie, DC 3,4,6, and especially the old Curtiss C46 Commandos. Fascinating stuff, and I was thinking you might be headed in that direction? Hmmm?? 😉

J.P.
Interesting subject. Not quite sure what you mean "initially they came without armament" in one of your posts above, but in another post you said "only military schemes". And if you're blanking off the gun ports, you'll need to block off the shell ejector ports on the underside of the wings, unless the plan is to add them back. I'm sure I'm stating the obvious there. To have no official connection with the US government, the 12 Hellcats were sold to Uruquay by a private company. To be a legal deal, the aircraft were sold without armament. Later they were fitted again with guns and rockets.

Reini78
My dad followed the decal instructions, but then I realized after looking at pics of originals that the anchor was on the other side. He could partly remove the decal, the rest is oversprayed. Luckily there was a second anchor on the decal sheet. Under maximum load with the oleos fully compressed, the bottom of the wheel covers are almost touching the chocks." http://www.hyperscale.com/2008/reviews/kits/eduard8211reviewbg_1.htm On my (future) 1/72 Eduard Hellcat builds, i do not think i'll worry about it much.
