tonyot
Hello Folks, I was very sad to hear of the death of Wing Commander John 'Tim' Elkington last week, aged 98, especially as I was building a model of his Battle of Britain mount, named `The Jeep'and I would like to dedicate it to his memory; https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6667855/Even-Fewer-Just-six-Battle-Britain-pilots-remain-heroic-Wing-Commander-dies.html This is my second Arma Hurricane and again I was very pleased with it,....... the dog house behind the pilot needed some plastic removing to allow the opened canopy part to fit better,....but apart from that everything went OK. It was brush painted using Polly Scale and Aeromaster acrylics and the decals come from DK Decals; And the Arma kit compared with the Hasegawa kit on the left; Cheers, Tony

noelh
Wonderful model, tinged with the sadness that yet another connection to the time is gone. Still I imagine he would never imagine he'd survive to 98. Doubt any of them thought that.
