Simply gorgeous mate and a great subject source too,..... Waddy was a superb pilot and of course he named his aircraft VE after his wife.

Cheers

An incredible model and a wonder tribute to a very capable combat pilot and leader. One of the best examples of faded paint, exhaust and fuel staining I have seen in a long time, and in all the places where  a P-40N would show them. One minor niggle, and in no way meant to disparage the quality and standard of your work, which I myself am not capable of matching, but I think unless the prop had been recently replaced or overhauled, some scuffing, scouring, and erosion of the paint on the LE and back of the prop blades  would be visible- make a perfect model even a little bit better. She's luvverly!

Outstanding work - where did you get the rivet plan ? Do you still have them ?

Thanks a lot. No, I do not have them but fortunately there is a lot of reference info for the P-40. Preferably when it comes to such a crucial detail as the rivet plan, I would use close-up photos of the real machines as reference.

Thank you Mike. Your remark is indeed very accurate however, the prop was intentionally left unweathered because the general look of the model (regarding weathering) was already heavy and I thought a propeller in pristine condition would balance it out. So, yes the propeller had been recently replaced and the spinner overhauled, which might have been very common especially in Noemfoor island with all this coral debris flying around.
