Tony Whittingham Posted January 27, 2019 Share Posted January 27, 2019 Hi All, I was wondering if natural metal RAF Dakotas in the early post war period had underwing serials and roundels? As far as I can tell, they have late war type C roundels and fin flashes. Does anyone have photos that show the lower wing surfaces? any help would be greatly appreciated. Tony, did you mean this scheme as seen in 1948 during the Berlin crisis? DaveWilko Posted January 27, 2019 Share Posted January 27, 2019 From what I believe,it was an order immediately after the cessation of hostilities to put serials on the under wing surfaces to discourage low flying.
