See the video I posted on Hendie's build....

Sure would be nice if you had posted a link to the video ... or provided a clue as to who "Hendie" is (for those of us not able to understand/appreciate your humor or references).

How about some modelling, guys?

Gunsight completed, after some dry brush (White for the bracket, Dark Gull Grey for the main body and Sand Yellow for the cushion, all Lifecolor) and a flat clear coat

gunsight7

The reflector glasses were glued in, as you can see, and top coated with Aqua Gloss (by brush)

gunsight6

This thing is not easy to photograph ... :frantic:

gunsight5

Seat belts; as anticipated, made from wine bottle foil and copper wire

setabelts1

and glued in place

setabelts2

That's it for tonight's work. Any comments welcome

Lovely work Giorgio - that sight is brilliant!

Thanks Ced!

Agreed - & so are those belts!

K

Thanks K!  I used the kit decal as a reference to scratch build them, it's a lot easier when you can do that!

Agreed also.

The video was brilliant, I nearly sprayed my muesli all over the screen.

Looking forward to more ( modelling, that is)

John

Cheers John, sorry for your muesli

More modelling during the WE (a Friday night update might be possible .... )

Get going, then! :thumbsup::)

Here's WE progress report: I added some cabling to the cockpit sidewall, using copper wire

cockpit3

cockpit4

Then I sprayed Tamiya Flat black on some bits

cockpit5

and Tamiya Aluminium (decanted from the rattle can and then airbrushed) on some other bits

cockpit6

cockpit7

cockpit8

The main part of the tub needed a black base coat too, so I masked the part that will remain NMF and sprayed accordingly

cockpit9

The same for the sidewalls

cockpit10

and the part goes behind the seat bulkhead

cockpit11

I then airbrushed Lifecolor Giallo Mimetico thinned with IPA. The black base coat gives a good depth already (partially killed by the protective gloss coat I already sprayed, but that's OK at this stage)

cockpit14

cockpit15

cockpit16

cockpit17

I assembled what looks like a reinforcing structure for the back part of the cockpit/canopy

cockpit12

and glued it to this

cockpit13

I think I'm ready for some detail painting and weathering of the cockpit! :pilot:

That's it for tonight, comments welcome
