Wdedig
GreetingsĀ Beginning of My D-day Project for 75th Anniversary Display and Theme for local IPMS Chapter. Out of box except replaced Gun Barrel Tips and small bar behind seat. eduard Seatbelts you can hardly seeš. Went with a simple two color scheme ,but with some interesting recognition stripe sizes (Aprox 9") I figured the Stripes couldn't be that weathered after only being applied a day or so before Invasion. Ā I usedĀ Decals from...BarracudaCals Spitfire Mk.IX Series. Model from....AZ Model Mk.VII , No.124 Sqn RAF June 6 1944 Ā Ā The decals were Great. The Model was Very good with some EXTRA cleanup required. The canopy neededĀ some serious size adjustments. Ā I used Gunze for the Medium Sea Grey upper surface and Xtracrylix PRU Blue for undersides. Clear coated with GX 100 Gunze. Final coated with Flat Vallejo Buffed with T-Shirt. Ā I used a grey background and a white background for the photos and I think i will stick with Grey. I'm not a big panel line washer except for bays I feel were used (Gun Panels)and control surfaces. Ā Thanks for Looking Comments welcome Cheers Bill Ā Ā

Bedders
Very nice indeed. Really like the narrower stripes. I think they were widely used in a particular RAF Command (but not sure which) - some XIIs were similarly adormed. Ā Justin
