Nice. I think that would be a great subject for a model. Unusual in the white/red scheme.

 

Sven, did you ever fly in a two seat Corsair (A-7K) or were you ever involved in tests with one? That's an interesting version that doesn't seem to get much attention.

Afraid not. The 6510th did not acquire A-7Ks until I was in the process of leaving in 1993.

 

A-7Ks were brought in occasionally for the Test Pilot School students to evaluate during the systems phase of the curriculum, but my class had F-104s and F-106s instead (1981-82).
