fjaweijfopi4j48
Dry run. The previous owner partial build forced this approach, which is not the most comfortable. The addition of the side windows will be a little challenging, they will have to be glued either to the upper shell/roof or the fuselage before uniting those parts: Edited February 8, 2019 by Moa
AaCee26
Hi Moa, Interesting project. I have been thinking something similar from the old but pretty accurate Airfix kit using the extra late-type engines and turret coaming from the Special Hobby Anson Mark I early-kit. There is also a late-type vacuform canopy available from Falcon. Cheers, AaCee
fjaweijfopi4j48
The windows are glued to the upper shell: The upper shell is glued to the fuselage: Finally -after adding the windshield and aft skin- I will be able to complete the fuselage: Hum, wait...did I just forget to glue the roof windows....yes I did! Will try to press them in cautiously, if they fall in I can still retrieve them. If that doesn't work then window-maker liquid will do. Sigh...
fjaweijfopi4j48
An encouraging view, but in doing so realized the previous owner lost a wheel, something I missed to notice until now: Edited February 10, 2019 by Moa

fjaweijfopi4j48
The bit for the aft fuselage is glued and clamped. Compare the size with the LVG: In place and ready to be blended-in with all the rest: The masks arrived. They are actually for the much newer Special Hobby kit, but I am hoping they will work at least partially:

fjaweijfopi4j48
The mask set -that was of course sold for the SH kit- does not (as predicted) properly fit on the Airfix kit, but with patience and some extra kabuki tape it will do. Why is the modelers' life so difficult? we wanted to escape from the other difficult life in the first place! 2

fjaweijfopi4j48
As the fuselage approaches priming stage, I am wondering about the decoration, trying to chose among several subjects. Would it be reasonably to assume that EI-AHO is green and silver (white cabin roof, black anti-glare panel)? (image from http://www.hampshireairfields.co.uk/airfields/por.html , but it doesn't have a direct link to it): From: http://www.na3t.org/air/photo/BSX00043

fjaweijfopi4j48
The Cheetah engines arrived from Engines & Things in Canada, since I am not sure which kind of cowls I will use for this one, the bumpy one on the kit, or the smooth ones I made, depending on the livery I chose:
stevehnz
I'm liking this a lot Moa, some top modelling on display as we've come to expect from you, not that we're taking you for granted I hasten to add. At least I feel I can maybe aspire to replicating your technique after a fashion. Steve. 1
pinky coffeeboat
Can't assist much with the colour of EI-AHO but it was originally G-AHNT and I found this picture Belonged to a company called Crop Culture Ltd and from the discussion that had this photo, someone asked for confirmation that the house colours were red/ silver. No one could confirm... Does this help or confuse? Jeff 1
Britman
Lovely work Moa,always enjoy your little gems. This kind of modeling (Anson ) I find extremely rewarding as I enjoy adding that little extra to the boxed kit. Keith
Ed Russell
This site is pretty good for civil Ansons. I don't know if it will answer your specific questions. http://www.goodall.com.au/australian-aviation/anson-civil-1/civilansons-1.html I may be able to get more info about specific aircraft. 1
