Reini78
Due to waiting time with most other projects, my dad decided to continue with the "roundeled" theme and start the next captured 109. Once again a 1 Sqn SAAF bird, this time captured in Lybia 1942. Like with the other two, he uses a Hasegawa kit and Rising Decals. Reini78
Already glued fuselage and wing together but then the cockpit tub got loose. Sadly all recovery attempts failed, so "da capo" with a new kit.... using this ancient Hasegawa G-2 kit which is basically a F-4 kit. Reini78
Used a piece of metal pipe for the antenna wire inlet. DSC_0010 by Reinhard Spreitzhofer, auf Flickr Realized that the original aircraft had additionel cowl scoops which were usually first found on the G-2. Either they were installed because of the African heat or it was a later model replacement cowl.
