Happy for you ! But I want to warn you right away - in the Soviet Air Force there were no such striped restraints. I am not against your idea, only it will not be completely historically true, sorry ..

What material do you use for your vac canopies? I'm starting to experiment myself and I have discovered that the correct material is crucial!

Thank you very much @Alan Gelo ...

 

for glasses for cockpits ( vacuform used for Chipmunk, Tu-16 and also for the sliding doors of the Lynx ) or other pieces, I use a 0.3mm clear acetate which is used to package the lids of the shirts boxes ...

 

As you say, it is important to make tests, as both the thermal source and the type of acetate react differently.


For the sliding doors of the Lynx, ( made with @giemme ) we used usual acetate with a hair dryer for heat sealing ...
