TID Steam Tug Completed

Recommended Posts

As it's been a while I thought we'd have a reminder of where this is supposed to be going

plans

70_TID164_6

and this is where we are at

P1100100 (Copy)

:hmmm:Ok I thought let's get the storage box out....

OMG

P1100897

P1100898

That's not how I remembered it

At 1/200 it's tiny compared with Dunkirk :frantic:

I'm going away to a cold dark place to think

Perhaps change direction to this

H017JJ

Stay safe and avoid scales below 1/72 :penguin:

Well I think that change of direction would look good but all the detail might get lost in the debris on the decking

Sooo my suggestion would be stick what you have back in the box give it a good shake and hope it comes out all back together

Either that or stop thinking get on with what you have and then start another build based on the above photo as Alexander would say SEEIMPLES  :poke:

Stay Safe

Stuart

Come on Stuart look lively, get that Tug going again! What do you think this is, some sort of slow boat Vosper build?🤣

Glad to see the tug back on the agenda Kev. I'm sure you will come up with a way forward.

I was going to make some sort of 'clever' (smart a$$) comment about all those bits & pieces being too small to see ... but you beat me to it.

Looking good, though.

Nice work, Kev! :clap2:

Looking ever better Kev, it will soon be time for the customary round up of some scale seagulls for you. Come on Guys, weigh in, lets see if we can round up a bumper flock for this build.

Yeah what a great idea Martian could have quite a flock nesting all over it

Do share, are all Martians two faced

To answer all your concerns regarding the wildlife. I feel that with a marching band on the jetty and a cricket match on the flat ground it may scare of our feathered friends.

No, I'm just hoping to get them away from Poole for a bit of a holiday and Cornwall seems a very nice place. I have graced it with my Galactic presence on more than one occasion myself.

We all look forward to the band and the cricket match in the near future then.

So they get nicked, it still keeps them from dumping all over my boat!  :poop:I dread to think what its going to look like when we are at last allowed to go near it. I must find out from our Head of Unit, who is on jankers so I can get them to clean it. Hang on! Mrs Martian is our Head of Unit! I think we all know who will be topping the jankers list. Bugger!

Nice to see this coming along toward completion, even sans wildlife. I had a bit of a furkle around the net for the derelict tug in Cyprus, such a sad end for a galant little work horse, it is nice to see far better than that is well in hand for this one.

I rolled the area for the cricket green this morning and then popped of to buy a new cricket set

I came back and found this

Fly tippers a sign of the times.

So unless the council will come and clean it up ( fat chance ) the match is off. So to disappoint

So on to some proper modelling. I started off annealing these handrails thinking that will make them nice and easy to bend. Doh! Threading soggy spaghetti through the eye of a needle is not possible, took me two days to realise  this. So hard bending and I've got a result

Thanks for looking in and stay safe

Sadly yes scum of the earth but it does add a bit of colour even if it is spilt paint

Really coming together well now 👍

Stay Safe and shoot the fly tippers :mg:

I guess this will just have to do, Kev.  Good job the 'fly tippers' (a new phrase for me) left some good quality waste.  At least there's no graffiti.

This diorama is looking great!
