Murdo
Absolutely well deserved! Your models are some of the best I've ever seen. Did you never enter the Clyde Puffer in a competition? That would surely be a winner too.

longshanks
Deliberation over, time for action The hull of the tug just wasn't looking right. First off, freeboard seemed toooo high - adjusted. I'd originally been thinking of resin water. A boat that's not loaded will normally adopt a stren down pose. A boat not being looked after might well adopt a list. With the help of a bench grinder and a stiff drink . . . done. see what you think Original first Now I hope you approve. Going to be a bugger sticking the bottom back on I've been mucking about with rope fenders Pull cord from light switch, with centre pulled out. 1mm diameter Al Gunthwaite figure for comparison . Anyone needs any further detail PM me. Thanks for stopping by Kev
JohnWS
The tug is looking great Kev. I like the idea of the pull cord for the bumpers, as well. 1 hour ago, longshanks said: ... robgizlu
Fenders!!!!!!!! Great job. Now I need to find some light cord I'm not sure I thought there was a lot wrong to begin with ……..but it certainly works better now "Lyrical Modelling" (The Longshanks School - early 21st Century, a movement originating in Cornwall) Rob

beefy66
like @robgizlu has said not sure there was anything wrong with the first version but I think I can see where you are going with this will you be adding scrap parts or spares to the keyside to make that look all cluttered up and abandoned beefy

Murdo
If you took a bench grinder to the hull after all that work then you're a brave man! It certainly worked though!
ArnoldAmbrose
Gidday Kev, re post #364 I thought the hull in the first photo was good but the next are definite improvements. A neat method of making fenders, too. Regards, Jeff.
