hadzi
I present my next model. Vickers Wellesley from the Polish Aeronautical Technical School for Minors in Heliopolis (Egypt). At that time, it was already a flightless, serving only to learn cadets, and got the number 4723M, which was generally painted "traditionally" M4723. The plane was repainted from the night bomber (apparently it was L2657), the lower black surfaces were repainted in yellow. Kit is the old Matchbox with Aeroclub Bristol Pegasus, propeller from spare and vacu canopy from Falcon, painted with Xctrarylics paints. 42

JosephLalor
Great job. It's not often we see a Wellesley built up, and in a trainer/prototype colours variation on the desert scheme too.
Spitfire31
Those Matchbox kits look like toys when you open the box, but in the hands of a skilful modeller they can become very convincing models! Good work with this old kit! Kind regards, Joachim
tonyot
Thats a lovely model and an `interesting' rendition of this particular Wellesley. As per the pics which I provided you with via my link to your WIP,....... my understanding is that it had white undersides/sides with Temperate Sea Scheme uppers having been last used by 47 Sqn in an anti submarine role and that the airframe was provided to the Polish maintainance school engine less,.....but was later fitted with a new engine and nacelles from stores. Each to their own and who can prove either of us wrong eh? Cheers Tony Edited January 20, 2019 by tonyot
