Harrier GR5

Recommended Posts

Time to put the GR5 up on RFI.  It’s a kit bash of a Monogram AV-8B with new Sky Models decals and a Pavla resin Martin Baker seat.  Nice kit to build in the basic form

Nice job, and I love your hardened shelter, scratch built or did you buy it?

Cheers - Scratch built as a dio to display builds.  It’s in the diorama section in a long running build thread where I put most of my wips and bits I build to go with the shelter

That's awesome. I love those green Harriers. What did you use to modify the nose?

Car body filler sanded to shape, and plasticard for the flare pack underneath.  Couldnt see snd other aftermarket stuff out there

Looks great, who's greens did you use?

Both rattle cans.  Tamiya olive drab on top & Humbrol grass green underneath.  I was going to use the correct NATO green on top but started with the olive & it looked right to me.  Both sprayed over a dark primer

They look right, I really like that light green belly color.  And a great diorama by the way.
