Not too far off the colour my Dinky toys Centurion was painted from memory.

Steve.

Interesting. Ive seen so many shades of green on dinky toys but never took the time to check what they are.

Most uk vehicles at overloon in the Netherlands are painted in a very good olive drab. Not all are fresh though and the Archer for example is alas rather US olive drab, which doesnt make sense.

FWIW, this is painted in a @Mike Starmer vallejo mix

it had a burnt umber oil wash, and a dry brush with a lightened version on the base mix.

When I did my 1/35 Achilles I just used Vallejo 70888. Seeing those Comet pics above it doesn't look a million miles out to my eye.

Depends on the wash and dust one applies. Russian uniform is quite yellowish. 70888 might be a tad too greenish when clean.

Above real SCC15 painted part, below repainted by a mix on my advice. This is a bit overlightened of course, but great to see same shift of colour when overexposed.

The owner hadn't showed me his orginal parts until he painted the spare parts ...

Our armour paints are poor sellers tbh so it would probably just be less hassle to drop them. They do go very well at the Scottish Nationals where MAFVA members buy a lot, but not much shifts in between. It's not got "Acrylic" on the label...

Jamie, @Jamie @ Sovereign Hobbies dont let the tail wag the dog, I am fed up of seeing modellers spend months on a model only to paint it the wrong colours so please advertise your wares more, saying why spoil it at the very end, stating the actual target references matched to, saying 'unlike others' ! Others never state the research and colours matched to, that tells me everything.
