72modeler
I just now stumbled upon this very interesting article and history of two P-40's recently recovered from Russia. it always amazes me that the tires on 60-70 year-old aircraft are almost always still inflated! I wonder how many hundreds of lend-lease aircraft from WW2 are scattered across Russia waiting to be discovered, recovered, and restored? I hope you find this post interesting. Troy Smith
Hi Mike, and anyone else. One of the best modelling resources for colours of Soviet P-40's is here https://massimotessitori.altervista.org/sovietwarplanes/pages/lendlease/p-40/p-40.html Note if you click on the profile it takes you to a larger 3 view AND the photos it's based upon. Dana Bell
Maybe my early-morning eyes haven't quite opened yet, but the nose of that P-40C doesn't seem to have any provisions for the two fifties. I've never seen that variation before! Cheers, Dana

Dana Bell
Thanks Vedran, I see it now - it took several pots of PG Tips, but I think I'm awake now... Cheers, Dana
