72modeler
Thanks, Troy- you just saved me some money. Wish sometimes that aftermarket canopy makers would just make them to scale and not tailored to fit a specific kit- if the kit's original canopy is not right, then neither will the vacform replacement be. Canopies and props always seem to be so hard to do correctly, for some reason. Mike

The Airfix canopy is wrong for either/or , the spine is correct, so the canopy is too high, because it;s too thick, and, possibly it look like the prototype canopy, which is deeper, and has the bar higher up. (check the links in the post) In this case Rob Taurus has just replicated the Airfix canopy, it would have been quite possible to make the much thinner vacform canopy accurate AND fit the Airfix kit, which has a 'to scale' spine! (if that make sense?) I did email Rob Taurus and ask about the canopy, and it had been corrected, but never got an answer. I posted here and got the answer. A well done open vac canopy part would also be a boon as it would flex like the real thing if stuck on carefully (and the canopy rails were curved) ... its late so apologies if not clear enough
FZ6
I've compared my Rob Taurus windscreen to the Arma one and it's definitely taller by about 1mm which doesn't sound a lot but its enough to make a difference in this scale. I'll post some pics later all being well.
