From what i understand its quite good, the only minor flaw of the Tamiya kit is the gun bay. Its supposedly designed to be displayed open. As a result it doesn't want to sit right if you try to display it closed.
Murmillo
7 hours ago, exdraken said: thanks for that great photo! got mail from Belgrade today! Wolf Heritage Decals enormous sheet for Yugoslav Air Force F-84G Thunderjets arrived today!! Thanks a lot @Murmillo!!! guess I need at least 2 more kits very very soon!... is the Tamiya one actually equally good? who knows? so now I am in the dilemma on what scheme to choose... although it seems natural metal is the way to go, still over 10 individual planes possible! with Red (Arctic Red... ??) tail, tanks and ailerons? form Batajnica, Skopje, Zadar airbases.... Decals are printed by Begemot by the way! quality looks excellent! Bitte : 1
modelling minion
I would go with the Arctic red too as it makes a nice contrast to the natural metal, but it's your model Werner so it's your choice. The decals do look very nice, I think you might need more than 2 more kits though .
exdraken
the noseart I plan to use, is from a Tito's race . (birthdayparty for Tito. or TITOVA STAFETA) https://live.warthunder.com/post/683761/en/ if the eagle originally is red or black... no idea! some nice video footage from May celebrations in 1954: (Thunderjets from 2:38) (a lot of American hardware in this vid!!) more more than interesting pictures in these forum... I did not try google translate yet http://www.paluba.info/smf/index.php/topic,13689.300.html Edited January 31, 2019 by exdraken

The wear is uneven which indicates it's not a separate panel, therefore I would suggest the nose band is painted. What colour it is painted I wouldn't care to speculate. exdraken
so the black eagle it will be according to Murmillo, as in his decals! will also opt or a metal intake, no paint! meanwhile first coat of Alcald II Titova Stafeta Thunderjet in the making.... Col.
That looks good Wagner. A nice amount of graduation throughout rather than a uniform single shade.
exdraken
some more shades of metal.... actually quite hard to see... but I sprayed a steel intake ring, a darker shade front below the cockpit and below the tail... some panels also got a different shade.. ready for a clear coat!
Col.
There's certainly a hint of the panel variations showing Werner and that subtlety, to me at least, is the secret of a good natural metal finish
exdraken
decals first stage, stencils will come from the kit probably should have looked at those before, would have saved me painting the olive drab portion small roundels for this scheme and no upper wing ones they behaved faboulously! thanks @Murmillo again!
franky boy
Great work Werner I love the different tones in the nmf and also the relatively flat finish as I expect that this was the case with these aircraft. James

John Masters
That's really great Werner. A fine early jet and in plumage not often seen. I like the NMF too. What did the Dean Acheson say about Tito? "He's a son-of-a-b%$#ch, but he's our son-of-a-b%$#ch."
exdraken
on its own feet, only smaller thing still to do! cockpit... the resin seat is nice.. but good fit is something else... should have checked before... 2 hours ago, John D.C.
