72modeler
CC, I like them both, for what it's worth, and yes, it was worth the effort. Thanks for sharing them with us, as well as what you did. Having said that, it's your LF III that really floats my boat! Mike
Christer A
Hey CC, you actually finished not just one, but TWO kits?!? Now you're turning up the heat on me... A very nice pair of Seafires you have there, or perhaps more properly a quartet! Blue rockets and the Sky extra fueltanks were a novel approach that turned out quite well.

And I took pleasure with both Seafires I try to have the most accurate kit but I'm not a rivet counter at all ! But for the third Seafire 17 I will just change the nose ! Sincerely. CC But then we can discuss the meaning of happiness! Some will be happy with whatever they make, others may never be happy because they cannot meet the standards which they set out for themselves, e.g., in case they intend to present their models at IPMS meetings. You also admitted having 'invented' a number of curses in connection with this building. So maybe it is not about being happy but being satisfied. If you like your model, it has fulfilled its purpose. I hope that you are satisfied with your four Seafires for they are very fine models. But I believe that we can agree on this that modelling is a very personal business.

No need to feel honoured,...... here are the Aeroclub Seafire 17`s that I did in those markings; Just realised that I did 173,......not 175! You could argue that some wore TSS and some wore EDSG on top,...... so it doesn`t matter either way! You can also make a Seafire 15 using your left over Airfix wings and an Airfix Spitfire XII kit; And I did the shark mouth in 1/72nd scale too!; All the best mate, Tony Wow Tony, great Seafire colection ! Seem that I missed the coup with my rendition... I did'nt clip the wings… and the lettering is C)A on mine I tried to find some pics of the actual seafire but I did'nt found one at the time... about 175 it's a educated guess since the Airfix boxing decals are also for a 3 spoke wheeled Seafire…. And about the camo, both were used at the same time… I saw a pic on FB last Week ! Thank for sharing !! Sincerely. CC
