Hi

 

Thought I would post some pictures of my latest attempt at painting 28mm miniatures.   Bit of a departure from the Napoleonics

My painting is still the same though, not great so no real close-ups!

your painting is fine, the figure scuplting is, erm,  a bit quasimodo! 

 

Some matt varnish would help, or are the glossy as used for gaming.

 

One thing that has happened in modern modelling is cameras can see detail and flaws you be hard pressed to see with eye, or even a magnifying glass, and as they are 28mm, they are least double that in the pics,  and I can't see any faults with the paint job, so I'd say it's a

i did apply a Matt varnish, the damn thing turned out to look like a gloss though!

The sculpting is a 'feature' of Warlord Games and other wargaming figures.

 

Most tend to be on the chunky size - I suspect it is to make them more robust when moving them around the table.
