Ready for inspection is my 1:72 Focke Wulf Fw190A-8, by Airfix. It is an out of the box build, although I have made my own stand so the aircraft can be displayed in flight. The kit was very clean, with little flash and nicely detailed panel lines, and the decals went on with ease. Instead of the Humbrol acrylics supplied, I have used the Vallejo equivalents (purely because I find them easy to airbrush). I hope I have done the aircraft justice, thanks for looking.

Hi Michelle,

what a lovely 190! I have heard of more than a few Airfix 190s flying straight into the trash, so the fact that you claim it was a hassle-free build is likely to get some teeth screeching!

It would appear that the only snag is the rear fit of the canopy.

But all in all, this is a great job! Well done!

Nice little display :cool::clap2:

It's a great little kit with many excellent examples out and about the web and shows :coolio:

This came out great - and great job on the base - I might have to steal that idea. Well done !

Nice to see a pilot when so many others seem to have 'in flight' models with nobody at the controls :)

Like the metallic paintwork sheen, perfect. The stand idea effort is great

Great job, one of my favs and this one is on the list

I really like this one, and yes, you definitely done the kit justice.  Like the stand for the in flight display too.

Very nice job on the Airfix FW190, I have one on the bench at the moment, a straight forward build.

Turned out really nice!

Too many of us (me included) forego the in-flight configuration; and this shows just how clean and beautiful an aircraft can look this way.

The marking on the base looks very artistic and inspiring too.

A great build!

Nice job on shall we say a challenging kit, not one of Airfix’s best.

Cheers Allan
