1/72 AirKits Chetverikov MDR-6 COMPLETE

Recommended Posts

Bombs. I wanted to hang some bombs under MDR-5

and cast some resin copies of ICM SB bombs

but I got bored so MDR-5 remains bombless. I decided to used these castings for MDR-6, FAB-500 in particular.

Bomb fins were, as usual, designed in InkScape, printed on 300gsm paper and soaked with superglue to remove texture and add rigidness

Added some light wheathering

Drawn a drip (is it the correct English word?) with a 00 brush

and then diffused it with another brush soaked in white spirit

Repeat

Yes, that is correct - both the drawing and the drip.  It is more usual to say 'painted a drip'.

(p.s.   Will your FAB 500's be grey?)

Fantastic build techniques and final results and a wonderful collection of finished kits - you have done your hero proud. I really enjoyed going through this build and also I learned a massive amount from one build thread, so you can be sure you are carrying on the education of us 'amateur' modellers. Many thanks for sharing. All the best. Mike.
