Mark's 2018 (also Brush painted BTW)

Eight completions, a range of scales and subjects, some OOB kits some scratchbuilt, all brush painted.  I shall only post one photo each, build threads for all of the models can be found in the Irish  IPMS website if you're interested.

 

First off (my least favourite ) an ICM 1/72 Heinkel 51 floatplane, which nearly made the deadline for the 2017 Irish IPMS Floatplane group build.

 

Second up a Heller 1/72 Mic 21 C converted into a North Vietnamese Mig 21 PF. This one took 30 years in the making . Restarted and finished for the Good Morning Vietnam GB

 

Third and probably my favorite for the year  a scratchbuilt  1/32 1913 Gordon Bennet winning Depresussin racer, part of the Civillian Aircraft GB

 

Fourth a Revell 1/83 ARC-170 (had fun with the weathering on this one) part of the Scifi GB

 

Fifth Airfix 1/72 BE2C converted to a single seater nightfighter.

 

Sixth 1/72 Emhar MK IV Female Heavy tank, Fascine bundle and unditching beam added otherwise OOB with lots of mud.

 

Seventh Airfix 1/72 Fokker EIII

 

Eight scratchbuilt 1/48 Sopwith Pup (still need to take some decent photos of this one)

 

So that's 2018, al told it's been a good modelling year. For 2019 I'm moving over to 1/48 (notwithstanding stash clearance ) and I'm already  well into a Gloster Gamecock, a Dh 4a and a P40N, with a Snark and two Dr1s to follow (one Fokker one Pfalz) .
