Adam Poultney
My Airfix Lancaster biii rear turret has since very nasty residue on it from masking tape.... Might it be salvageable and how could I go about doing so? Might it just be easier to get a second copy of the kit and build the Lancaster bi option, using the spares (including masking stuff) to fix up the biii I currently have? Rob G
Cut a piece of tape, fold it back on itself then use the sticky side to 'pick' at the residue. Should pull it off. If not, a dab of IPA on a cotton bud will do it- use care if you painted with acrylics, the IPA will soften or strip acrylic paint.
Black Knight
WD40 on a cotton bud or soft cloth will remove the residue with no damage to paint or plastic
neilh
I use " stick stuff remover" which is available from several sources such as " The Range" , art shops etc. It smells of citrus and removes glue residues and also shines up the plastic. I apply using a cotton bud.
