chrislowe
I'm about to start my next project - an Airfix Lynx AH-7, but before I've even washed the plastic, I have a question. The kit appears to contain 2 types of seat for the cockpit. The instructions call for what looks like a pair of armoured seats, while the Big Ed set contains instructions and PE for a regular shaped pair. Having spent money on the AH-7 BigEd set, I'd rather build those regular shaped seats - unless it's just plain wrong. I have a horrible feeling that the regular seats are for the navy versions. Can anyone help me out? Which seats were fitted to the AH-7?
Greg B
There is a set of pics I took that were used for the Afghan machine in the kit. Link is here and there are a couple of shots of the seats. Link

Greg B
Probably max use of the etch and to give the option of a different seat (unsure if any of the AH variants had an unarmoured seat). TBH I’m only intending to use the belts on the seat.
chrislowe
Getting a little OT, but looking at these pictures, it looks to me like there's a LMG on the starboard side, and nothing on the port side. Glad I noticed that before I drilled the holes for an LMG on both sides.
