Michael M
My first venture into 700 scale. Always was afraid that it'll be to small for my fat fingers. I managed somehow. There is a plan for a small vignette, but just in case this little thing won't survive my attempts at making water... pictures now with ear-poker with cent Main guns are lose, their barbettes are the only places I can actually grab it Thanks for watcing and keep the fingers crossed for the water 28

SUB-SAM
Fantastic work, a nice interesting subject in 1/700. The rigging is very effective. I have the same ship as a kit but slightly bigger in 1/144 scale 😉

Bandsaw Steve
Nice! In particular the rigging looks good for this tiny scale. Any tips welcome as I will have to do something similar for Carpathia. 1
Mick4350
What yellow did you use ?
Michael M
Rigging is made out of stainless steel wire 0.06 mm. Your Carpathia is way bigger scale so you can go with brass 0.1 or even 0.15 or use some of that uschi stretchy stuff. The only downside of it is that's flat and you can't do any losely hanging cables. As for yellow it's a 50/50 mix of Tami yellow with wood deck tan no idea what're the numbers I'm nowhere near them at the moment. Later highlights done with the same mix plus white.

franco1964
What a wonderful weathering work in 1/700! The keel is so appealing that closing inside a sea diorama it's a pity! Anyway if you want to replicate the sea, I think that the movement waves you have designed on paper are too wide. Try to find some photos on the web and compare with your idea. Cheers. Michael M
That's just the general layout, but you're probably right, especially that this thing could squize 15 knots... tops

Michael M
Yup, cotton, although I read that the synthetic one is way better for the job. Used with the Liquitex gloss medium. It's not it yet and I'm running out of time for experiments Proper base is not far from painting stage....
