Panzer III STGB Chat

Is there room for one more? I'm new to the forum, but I have a Bronco Panzer III Ausf A waiting to be built. It's an interesting one because it breaks the 'count the roadwheels' rule for distinguishing between a III and a IV.

I don't have an example in the stash!🙀

I have seen the Stug III mentioned. Does this qualify as a PZ III?

If it does I may be able to squire one in time 😏

Hi Greg. As @Robert Stuart kindly mentioned - a Stug III is definitely acceptable!

Hi Ned and welcome to the GB. Yes the 8 wheeled IIIs always catch me out! You are on the list at number 42. I'm looking forward to your build.

OK, ordered two kits for this build - both Stug III, but different types and makers.
Persuaded my wife to buy this for Christmas:

And, to celebrate, I ordered one of these for myself:
{snip}

Next question, will either arrive in time for the build?

Well, that was quick, ordered November 2, estimated to arrive end of December to mid-March, delivered November 17.  All the way from China!

Had a quick look inside the box before it was taken away from me ...
... looks good, with some internals (gun breech).  Tracks are all pinned, which will be a mixed blessing.

I thought that I had posted what I intended building on this STGB, but after looking at all the posts it seems that I haven't.  I had said that I wouldn't buy anymore kits until my stash was down to a reasonable size, but define reasonable :wicked:  So I bought this:

Now on the box it says it's a 2 in 1 kit, but my box has only one kit in it, and I want to build both the Stug and the Stuh, so I checked at the back of the stash and found this:

IMG_1447

So now I can build both, for those that do not know, the Stuh is a Stug armed with a howitzer weapon, in this case a 105mm.

Roll on February 21. :yahoo:

p.s.  The comment about only one kit in my DW kit was a joke, I should have added a 🤣
