I haven't been added to the list so I presume that my colourful contribution isn't acceptable..? 😝 How about something closer to reality, the StuG III Ausf. H was a late war proposal to fit the 75mm L/70 in the Stug III. It got as far as a wooden mock-up but production of the Panzer/Stug III platform was stopped & development was cancelled.

Hi @SimonT @shelfspace @Mig Eater & @M3talpig

You are all added to the list in the first post of this thread. I am very sorry for the slow reply but life in general has been very busy lately!

Welcome on board!

Well that brings us to 39 participants and only three and a half months to go!!

Anyone else want to be participant number 40?

I will try to keep reminding everyone when the GB starts over the next few months. There's still time to get a socially distanced Father Christmas to get you a Pz.III for this GB which starts in February!

Take care and stay well.

Kind regards,

Stix

ooohhh just seen this, I have a PZ III B/D from MiniArt.. I hadn't planned to build it so soon tho, can I be marked as a tentative??

Hi Rob. Great to hear from you and I will add you to the list. You don't need to be marked as tentative............we all sign up for these things.....and hopefully are able to take part.........but we know other things can get in the way. For the first time this year I'd signed up for a couple of GBs that I just didn't have time to take part in. It's been one of those years!! Hopefully we will see your PZ III B/D from MiniArt getting built as part of this GB!

Kind regards,

Stix

OK, ordered two kits for this build - both Stug III, but different types and makers.
Persuaded my wife to buy this for Christmas:

And, to celebrate, I ordered one of these for myself:

Next question, will either arrive in time for the build?

I ordered both kits through eVilBay, both are coming from China.
Having heard stories about US Customs and delays to goods from China, I'd wait on today's events before trying to buy either

Shoot... We may be in a full blown Revolution/Civil War II by the time tomorrow morning comes :D

I hit like because I agree not because I want a civil war.

My build (or rather some of it) arrived in the post this week.

A slightly incomplete MR Modelbau 1/72 Panzer III Ausf E conversion from ebay. The seller had included the lower hull and wheels from a revell kit which are needed for the conversion but there were no tracks and a few other parts missing (the seller had highlighted this).

Cue an order to OKB Grigorov for a full set of replacement running gear (tracks, sprockets, idlers, road wheels and return rollers and a cupola set as this was also missing).

Although expensive this makes it totally accurate as the Revell kit is an Ausf L which had wider tracks and wheels so I wouldn't have been able to use these anyway.

Looking forward to getting started now!!

Ben
