Duncan B
This was built for a Group Build elsewhere. The premise was can an Eduard Weekender be built in a ‘weekend’ so 48 hours time limit. This is the 1/48 Bf109G-4 and was built in a 46 hour 20 minute period starting on New Year’s Day. It’s a bit rough in places and didn’t get my full ‘works’ but it was a great fun kit to build. I can recommend it (but it might be best to take a little longer if you want to). Mr Paint used throughout. Duncan B

Kitchen Modeller
This is great - I’d love to have a crack at this challenge - but the bigger challenge would be finding 2 whole days to dedicate to it. Must have have been fun. It’s a great result so I guess you can do a weekender in a weekend! 1

J Sherratt
Very nice - well done. It would take me a lot longer and I’m sure it wouldn’t turn out half as well! John

Duncan B
Thanks everyone, it was a fun thing to do but the kit really deserves more time spent on it to bring out the best in it. Duncan B
Filbert_Wang
Wow .. thats an amazing job! I would settle for producing something like that over the space of a year! I can only assume that Satan will come and collect his prize, as a payment for that kind of ability
IanC
Very nice indeed. The last time I had a weekend which I could devote entirely to modelling was, I think, in 1979.
VMA131Marine
Nice! Did you freehand paint the wing leading edges with your airbrush?

Yes the only masking used on the kit was between the colours on the top of the wing, the canopy, propeller hub and the yellow everything else was freehand. I’m used to doing it in 1/72 so 1/48 was a breeze. Duncan B
