I wanted to enter this GB much much earlier but only joining now, TBH without much hope to finish this project on time. But I will try

Venerable Academy B-17F 'Memphis Belle' kit with some extras. Will be building 'Dragon Lady' as represented on KitsWorld decal

My aestetic gland does not feel B-17 without rivets. So I have been riveting it for several days, still a long way to go. Initially I was considering imitating stressed skin as well but decided against it because of two reasons, a. it is not really prominent enough on the real thing and b. it would take at least 4 times as long as rivetting and I have already spent several days without gluing a single part so this project would never complete

These are my faithful scriber and rivetter

Bought both some 15 (maybe more) years ago from the guy who built them for sale at Moscow club of scale modellers

I have a couple of drawings from different sources but  I mostly use HK Models 1/32 B-17E/F as a reference, I find it quite accurate.

Interiour, Pt.1

In this scale interiour details are often "a gopher".

"Gopher" is a slang word among Russian speaking modellers for something that is there but not visible

Some kind of Vanity Fair. Who really cares if there are 7 or 5 levers, once the fuselage is closed they will be barely visible. A Gopher. It is there, and I still can handle a part that is 1mm long and 0.1 mm wide

Interiour pt.2

"Norden" - stock vs. custom

After some consideration I decided to close bomb bay. I don't like how it looks and don't want to bring it to acceptable standards. Easier to buy Revell/Airfix

Chances that I will finish this model in time are very slim
