Messerschmitt Bf 110G-4 1/72 Eduard

Beautiful work as always Libor.

One thing that Eduard missed with regards to this particular aircraft is that the rudders were roughly (by hand without masking off) painted white as seen in photos of it taken at the end of the war. It looks like they were brush painted without masking as the paint is streaky and the demarcation overlaps onto the fin in places.

Thanks gents!

Duncan: right, the period pictures are sometimes interpreted in this way. But personally, I think this was just fresh RLM76.

Cheers

Libor

The book I saw this in had close up photos of the rudder and it looked like white to me but interpreting 80 year old black and white photos is a minefield so your quite possibly correct. Anyway, your 110 is outstanding and it's always an inspiration to see your work so thanks for posting.
