corsaircorp Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 (edited) Hello Dears, End of the year… Cleaning of my modelling cabinet... And time to show another long waiting build, or 2 or 3 in fact !! So in 2014 I started this one... Then, it was time to collect bits and pieces in order to enhance the appearance of the whole thing … Pierre @BS103 my modelling brother has done some corrected engine cowlings ! Knowing that the U/C are fragile, I have a SAC kit and some other little goodies ! For the one who still have a doubt about the cowlings here's the difference ! Oh I started to paint a bit… And then here's the way I will paint her ! I saaaayyyy with teeth ! but there's is also a gentle lady, lying on a satin cushion…. I stayed politically correct Did'nt I ?? Interesting point, the Marauder came in Africa with the usual camo of OD over Neutral grey ! Then the paint has been teared out to gain some speed, but then in the Battle of Germany she received a coat of O/D on the upper surfaces ! When I choose a subject, I like to search about it and here is the listing of the bases used by the Squadron. Ok Dears, the other ones will be for tomorrow, my hip is ordering me to bed... Have a great modelling time And for the one who did'nt visit one of my thread recently .. I wish you an happy new year !! Full of models and other pleasures !! Sincerely. corsaircorp Posted November 25, 2019 Author Posted November 25, 2019 Hello Dears, Time to wake up this one too !! Well, I'm reworking the cockpit since the stick have no ways to move ... Then I will create the navigator post !! from scratch... And add lots of gubbins... And of course, the usual punishment with Monogram.... Aka complete engraving... Have a great modelling time !! Sincerely CC 7

Great Sharkmouth it is, my own teeth (not many left) are already sweating about the huge decal And the great Pin'up too.... These Pyn up decals are sooo thin !! We had a walk with Wifey... I found a kind of Belgian version of the Burren Huh, in fact, not too much since there is 2 trees at least... So Mr cromwell would have been find the place more enjoyable !! That said, I really enjoyed the Burren, I was there to listen to the Banshees... Have a great modelling time ! Sincerely. CC 2
corsaircorp Posted September 30, 2020 Author Posted September 30, 2020 Hello Dears, Sometimes, I open the cabinet aaaaand !! I wonder about "Hey let's have a look at this kit !! I gathered more infos, so I paid a look at the Marauder... Internals colours are changed accordingly... And I started the long and boring job of cleaning up the engine cowlings... More to come soon on this front too... At least, I'll try !! Have a great modelling time.. And take care, my friends !! Sincerely. CC 6
Corsairfoxfouruncle Posted October 1, 2020 Posted October 1, 2020 I must have missed this thread Cousin, but When I build mine someday it will be in these markings. https://www.asisbiz.com/il2/B-26-Marauder/B-26-photos/images/USAAF-42-95864-B-26B-Marauder-344BG497BS-7IB-Valkyrie-02.jpg I already have the decals but sadly sold my kit when I left modeling for 10 years. Now I need to find another kit. 1
corsaircorp Posted October 1, 2020 Author Posted October 1, 2020 Ooooh Valkyrie !! I was tempted too but finally, the patchy appearance of the one I choosed winned up !! Pierre has done "Mild and Bitter" If I do a second Marauder, it will be a Battle of Midway one. There are a lot of it on Evilbay !! Sincerely. CC 1

I must say that we share eagerness to start kits.... Aaaaand.... Oh !! Shiny, I'll do this one too..... The pink 0/400 is intriguing, what have you in mind ?? CC 1
Marklo Posted September 23, 2021 Posted September 23, 2021 Ah yes the pink thing. It was a decommissioned bomber converted into a transport for Sir Aghi Ravagi the Thakur Sehab of Morvi an Indian Gentleman who used it to transport his harem apparently. Theres a thread in the forum 0/400 civil conversion which has lots more detail. Its very nearly finished and I’ll probably put it into the next KUTA GB. 1
corsaircorp Posted September 17, 2022 Author Posted September 17, 2022 Hello Dears, Here I'm again with the Marauder !! Repainting the internals more accurately... As it is a NMF one, the paint has been stripped up.... Then, once the Squadron operated from France, they repainted partially the upper surfaces.... Sooooo.... I feel eager to finish a twin engined aircraft... Which one will the first in RFI ?? Marauder?? Invader?? Mosquito or Uhu ?? So far The F3D and F-4B are the only twin engined aircraft finished, and it is jet aircrafts.... Have a great modelling sunday Gents... Back to my evening work week... See you on Sunday. CC 7
corsaircorp Posted August 21, 2023 Author Posted August 21, 2023 Hello Gents, Nothing new on the Marauder front.... In fact, I put it on hold, waiting for the ICM one that will arrive soon now.... Sincerely. CC 2 1
corsaircorp Posted August 12 Author Posted August 12 Hello Gents The Marauder was due to land on CC's castle last week... So, nothing new again on here.... Sincerely. CC 1
corsaircorp Posted October 10 Author Posted October 10 Hello Gents, And here's the plan for the Monogram Marauder.... One of the B-26 used in the battle of Midway..... What's to do ?? modifying the wing to have the short ones..... Pleasure and cursing guaranteed..... Adding a torpedo launcher on the bomb's bay doors..... No rear lower guns doors either..... I have some doubts about the flashy green serial on the tail.... And so on..... This thread is far from being finished ???? Hold my beer.... Sincerely. CC 3
Biggles87 Posted October 10 Posted October 10 I’ve just been looking at review of the ICM Marauder and am tempted except for two things, I would probably never finish it and even if I did it where would I put it. I built the Monogram kit many years ago and it ended up hidden away in the loft. ‘ Hairy Bird ´ has always been one of my favourites. John 1

John Thanks John, In the '90s I bought almost one of each Monogram kits.... And now, I'm toying to bring these kits up to date with more modern issues.... Gluton for punishment or totally masochist... (Choose the more accurate option) Sincerely. Alain 1
