AdrianMF
Hello All, Well it's been a slow year. All 1/72, seven in total, five (pre-1980) Airfix. The MPM Bristol Blenheim IV. I liked it. I'm calling it finished even though I never got around to putting on the fuel dump pipes or the ejector chutes on the under-belly guns! I now have finished all the 1/72 Blenheims: old+new Airfix, Frog, MPM: Next up, the Dragon Model works Bristol 188. A vac form kit and it was -errr- a bit challenging: ...starting from here: I received a much-needed KUTA with the Airfix Golden Age GB. First off, a Westland Whirlwind (second edition), which I didn't have time to weather before having to go away, and never got back to it. Ironically, it's the airframe that features in a photo showing ridiculously heavy wear and tear! Weathered or not, it was good to get something through the production line! Next up was the Airfix B-25J Mitchell (old mould of course!): A cheeky Airfix P-51B for the Blitzbuild: Again, light on the weathering, but my 24 hours were up! Back to the Airfix Golden Age, didn't expect to build an Airfix Mig-21 but it was going cheap in the Hannants second hand section at Hendon: It looks a bit lumpy close to, but then the real one wasn't that smooth either! And finally for the AGAGB, the B-26 Marauder: And in addition to the shelf of shame, I'm not going to finish the current Beaufort in 2018, but there may be a Frog Beaufighter to limp across the line before the year's out... Thanks for looking, Adrian
gazza l
Lovely collection Adrian, I particularly like the B-26, great weathering. You managed a few more than me this year. gazza l

PlaStix
Hi Adrian and Happy New Year! That's a great looking seven for the year. They are all superb but there are two standout builds for me - your vac-form kit and the B-26. I am certain I will never attempt a vac-form, so I was really impressed with your 188 - especially when I saw how it started life! The B-26 with it weathering and olive drabbed stripes is also fantastic. Very well done. Kind regards, Stix

I guess I can no longer say "I don't do silver aeroplanes" and thank goodness for rattlecan silvers!
Cookenbacher
What a collection Adrian; the Beauforts are a worthy sub-collection in of themselves, and I somehow missed your Bristol 188 - what a beauty, and the invasion stripes and weathering on the B-26 are just amazing.
