Dealing with my hanger issues. Rivet counters are advised to give this one a miss. You know it's only going to upset you.

....................Thanks for the offer Paul, but I doubt that this will ever go to a show. I know that the guys on here like a laugh and will take the inaccuracies with a pinch of salt. At the shows there are too many free range rivet- trolls, colour-fascists and humourless history nazis.

@Gorby

That Gorby, is a shame. What I will say, if you can get either to SMW '19 you HAVE table space.

My friend, I wear many hats! QUIET at the back!! I is a member on the 'What If' site and have a number of friends who are active members,

NOT people you want to get on the wrong side of, believe me! also, when pushed, I can have a quite colourful turn of phrase.....

Modelling is just a pastime, and your damn good at dioramas, they DESERVE to be seen, so......................

Happy New Year!

May it be better than you deserve and better than you could ever imagine.

Paul

Many thanks to everyone who has either commented or clicked the 'like' thingy. It lifts my spirit on a miserable day.

@bazer Yes the 1/48 tools were a great help, they were mostly from a Tamiya tank maintenance set which I wasn't aware of until @Jim Wasley brought my attention to it, so thanks Jim, without you this whole thing would have been possible, but probably wouldn't have turned out as well as it did.

wish I could get all tools etc for 1 72 scale.

I've just had a look on Scalemates and there are 1/72 tools, although they are probably out of production and pretty difficult to get hold of these days.

1/72 tools

Gorby , Brengun do PE tools in 1/72nd and the other popular scales . The Spanners come in old style single end open type and the usual double open ended type or Special ( tools) spanners for a particular aircraft , ideal for your dio. One tool kit ,tool tote tray for 5.26 Euros inc VAT …. Have a look at about 10 pages of 1/72nd PE accessories while you're there , some good things !

…  I had great fun planning and doing all the little bits, much more than I normally do just building models, so I need to decide which direction my hobby heads toward.... I very much recommend it, great fun....

I think hobbies reflect our evolution. apparently you have found a divergent path. hope it takes you where you need to be.

Disappointed, I'll say I'm disappointed!  Not 1 rivet worth counting but one hell of a good diorama!  I love the detail, a true work of art, congratulations on a brilliant model.

Thanks you Derek and everyone else who has commented or clicked 'like', or even just taken the time to have a look, I'll try not to let it go to my head (too much ).

That is very inspirational!!!

Where are the figures from?

Thanks very much Earnest.

The figures are from these two sets:

https://www.scalemates.com/kits/icm-48086-luftwaffe-pilots-and-ground-personnel-in-winter-uniform--192827

https://www.scalemates.com/kits/tamiya-32547-field-maintenance-set--114927

But bear in mind that the Tamiya figures are much smaller than the ICM figures. The ICM ones are a more accurate size and are much better moulded.
