Ian Thanks Ian. Strangely enough, I have considered the use of cooked spaghetti in the past for draped hoses and the like The hot spaghetti is arranged in the required position and as it cools it hardens. When properly cold it can be painted over. This has the benefit that one can eat it if one doesn't like the result. Really, I amaze myself with my own genius/stupidity (delete as appropriate) sometimes! 🧠 25 minutes ago, Courageous said: Are you sure not building a Lunar Lander: ...just asking. I think that I have more spaces between the tubes than Gerry Anderson's contraption. I have been working on the structure above the main fuselage frame today but as I am using .20 'thou plastic rod, its very much a case of do a bit, let it set hard, do a bit more, let that set hard. You get my drift but I should have some pictures by early morning. Martian 👽

Martian
As promised, here is the update as to where I have got with the build over the past 24 hours. I finally managed to finish off the structure that sits on top of the main fuselage frame at the rear half of the fuselage. This was very frustrating as I kept having to wait for things to set before I could proceed further. However, the sub-structure is now in place and a start has been made on what should be the start of the stringers. Once these are finished I think I will finish off the framework for the bomb bay and take a look at what needs to be done to the ventral gondola. Any work in this area will be vey apparent through the open access door. I have tried to get a shot of the view through the door but the picture I have posted is about as good as my camera can do. The amount of detail isI far more apparent to the naked eye. Thanks for looking. Martian 👽

Thanks Steve as long as the framework only reminds you of your ceiling trusses and not General Melchett's then that's fine. 3 hours ago, longshanks said: Must be like knitting with wet spaghetti Kev From this am I to gather that I am not the only person to have considered spaghetti as a modelling medium? 2 hours ago, corsaircorp said: Now, it seem perfectly sound to use spaghetti on an italian bomber !! I couldn't vouch for it's taste however. The General might know, he's eaten Baldrick's cooking before and may well have already been served up such a dish. 2 hours ago, TheBaron said: Mr. Martian does make exceedingly good frames. perdu
I hopes Airyfix doesn't start using this as an advert Look how good our stuff is! But it does look rather excellent inside there Reminds me of another build from ages past that was welly framed inside, wonder what became of those nice models? Probably in a box under somebody's bed Dutch things they were I think... Oh by the way Martian can you have a word with the harbourmaster's at Poole, make sure Barfleur gets out on time on the 13th June Brexit or no, I have an appointment with several race cars on the following weekend Just asking, like

Navy Bird
I'm loving all that framework. You are the Sovereign of Styrene, the Ruler of Rod, and the veritable Pundit of Poly. I'd doff my hat, but I don't have one. So you get a few of these: Now, for the question of the moment. I have the Italeri kit of this beastie, but I haven't looked at it in ages, nor could I remember if I had. Am I going to have to add all this framework to that kit when I get around to building it? An intriguing challenge, but I ain't gettin' any younger. Cheers, Bill 3

As far as I can remember, there is a fair bit of framing already moulded into the kit but it is a very long time since I had a look at an example.
