On the model front, most of the smaller parts have now had an undercoat of Tamiya's finest along with a load of parts of the Roc (that should keep CC happy). I am busy with MVS duties again today but I have advised Mrs Martian that I will be absent with or without leave tomorrow and Friday to get some R&R in the cave. I have blended the bomb aimer's transparency in with my usual super goo method and this has come up rather well. Martian 👽

Martian
It has all been happening today at Martian Towers with both the SM.79 and the Roc getting worked on. My room is now a sea of airbrushed parts curing pending a mammoth detailing painting tomorrow. Being me of course I had to make a rod for my own back. When I was detailing the wings, I glued them together without painting the interior of the nacelles first. This led to a very awkward session trying to brush paint them with black Stynylrez, and equally tricky session followed, trying to airbrush the correct interior colour. While the colour was in the airbrush, I sprayed up all the parts that needed to be painted with it. The postie delivered a masking set for the Italerii kit today and I think I can make this work on the Airfix kit. It will save a lot of hassle if I can. I forgot to post a picture of the blended in bomb aimer's window so it is belatedly posted today with my apologies. In other news, the postie also delivered this. If we can't have some fun with that we all need shooting! I mention the new arrival here as it will provide ample incentive to get a few of my builds off the work bench so I can get started on it. Thanks for looking Martian 👽

Hello Martian, I must admit that the Germans are really able to create very crazy things. Something like that you may find today only on a kermis. Btw the SM 79 is coming along very nicely. Looking neat so far. Cheers 1

Martian
The mask set for the Italerii kit duly arrived and I am pleased to report that with a little persuasion they were able to be adapted to fit the Airfix kit. We are now at the stage where the model can have a final Micromeshing and she will be ready to go to paint. I seem to remember some sort of treasonous statement about the British Army by Capt, Blackadder to the effect that said army was generally used against people armed with papayas, tall elephant grass and the like. He should be broken to the ranks and chastised with a cricket bat to his naked buttocks Eton-style. The Ubuntu naming commitee is known for its ferocious love of animal alliteration; the operating system is pukka and a more than worthy replacement for Crapsoft's OS. Sorry for my flagrant anachronism.. I will have to check my TARDIS for chronometric errors!
