Madoc
"Only 500 pieces?" For a 1/72nd scale kit of a subject that small to begin with? Holy frack! That promises for an insane build trying to put together 500 pieces that tiny! What are they thinking?

Sabrejet
An issue of 500 I'd guess: 500 pieces as in, "500 kits will be made then that's all". Probably quite a lot for a limited-run.
Admiral Puff
WANT!! That's so silly I couldn't be without it!

Kevin Callahan
Interwar? Check. Civil? Check. Obscure? Check. A weird design from an established aircraft maker? Check and double check. Sign me up. So the rest of you will be fighting over the remaining 499.... 😎

TEXANTOMCAT
Of course back in the 1970s when matchbox were imbibing recreational substances and went 'Hey you guys, lets do a Stranraer' they were less potent. Avis must be buying from Danny - Bristol Racer and now this - well done chaps - keep the bonkers releases coming

Kevin Callahan
This one is sitting next to the workbench waiting for a construction spot to open up. Which it will as soon as I get over this stupid spring cold I've got! It is going in along with the RS Models Ae-607.
Ed Russell
It's actually a nice little kit for a short run injection mould. I had no real difficulties. I'll put it in RFI when I get better pics.
fjaweijfopi4j48
i got mine already. Looking forward to build and report. I think though that "Nautilus" ("Sailor" in Latin/Greek) would have been a much happier choice than "Cockle". At least Nautiluses have some buoyancy! Dave Swindell
Anybody seen photo's of the Cockle with RAF roundels and serials on the wings/ rudder stripes and MAEE stencil on the tail? The only photo I've found at the MAEE shows roundel and serial on the fuselage / Civil reg above & below wings, and the fin rudder appears to be plain. All fabric surfaces appear to be silver dope at this stage, although fuselage & wing floats could possibly be white painted; but as the low power/weight problem was well known at this date, would they have burdened the hull with a full coat of paint? Is it still bare metal?
