Hasegwa Subaru 1993 rac

I haven't, but it's a relatively recent Hasegawa kit. You shouldn't have any issues.

A more detailed question might give you a more detailed answer - was there something specific that you wanted to know about it?

Possibly, but most likely not. There's a lot of evolution between rallies, let alone annually. Best bet would be to look for some images from that rally and see what's different to the kit. Of course if you're not that fussy about being exact, as long as the shell is the same it would probably do. Just don't let the rivet counters see it.

It's an excellent kit. You can built a few different versions from the same basic kit, '93, '94, '95. I built it many years ago. Add some photo-etch parts and some decent decals and you'll end up with a nice replica. One thing to do is lower the suspension a little if you can. It's too high even for a gravel rally. Paint colour is a little off, too light, too blue..

Don't know if these would be of any help but I've got a folder of detail pictures for a '96 works car (N555WRC) saved for when I get round to building mine.

Took them when I co-drove in it on a rally back in 2014 - Definitely the best experience I've had in a Subaru rally car - some of the others have been awful...

Hi . Hope you don’t mind me asking , who was your driver ? I know Ryan Champion has an ex Liatti / Auriol Impreza . Great detail photos you got . I love being able to stick my camera in at rally service halts , even on Rally GB . Imagine doing that in Formula 1 !     Gary .

Hi Windy37,

Ryan Champion has N555 BAT, the car in my pictures is N555 WRC which was driven by Bob Lowe on the day I navigated.

Took the detail shots as I have the Hasegawa kit in my stash to build at some point too.

Have been somewhat fortunate over the years, navigated in a fair bit of "stuff" - My main driver seemed determined to try every car going on at least one event before getting distracted by something else that was shiny - Sometimes the entry form would change 3 times before we got to the startline, Club spec Impreza's of varying quality, Sierra Cosworth 4x4 twice (Loved that car), Escort Cossie (Hopeless), Evo6 (Engine exploded on stage 2) Fiesta ST150 challenge car and finally persuaded him to go for something simpler so used a 205 GTI for a couple of years.

Navigating for Bob was a one off as his two regular navigators were on holiday.

Taking off from the startline was the oddest part of it as the car seems to accelerate in two directions at the same time.

Wouldn't have missed the experience for the world.
