Old Viper Tester
ZA144 of 101 Squadron, Edwards AFB transient ramp, August 1984. Never did find out why she stopped in. Thanks for looking, Sven 18
iainpeden
I'm hazarding a guess to your question. I have a friend who used to be in the RAF He told me that they regularly flew to California, often sight seeing via the Grand Canyon, to collect specialist kit for the nuclear industry on this side of the pond.

Airfix if you can get hold of an example. Otherwise it's cutting down a Roden K4 This shows what can be done with the Airfix kit. It's worth having a look at the building thread which is linked in the Airliner Cafe thread. For the civilians amongst us the Roden Super VC-10 is readily available and can be cut down to make a beautiful Standard if you can't find an Airfix example at a sensible price.
