Silver Fox
Coming together nicely now, it has stopped fighting and is letting me tickle its tummy. Engines in place, I have had to replace three of the intake 'trumpets' as they keep falling out so it has a mix of correct and not so correct ones. The engine modules fitted nicely as did the wheels I have built ythe turret but it does look like a origami like fit. I went with the open cooling gills When I d another one I'll use the closed gills, which will save a lot of painting of invisible parts. Nearly ready for decaling. A mixture of kit, Xtradecals Blenheim specific and Xtradecal generic. I have not been able to find out anything concrete on Herricks machine(s) on his two successful night interceptions so they'll be a touch of WHIF abut it..
dogsbody
That's coming along nicely. One observation on your exhaust collector and on a lot of other builds that feature Bristol radial engines. The inside of the rings should be the same colour as the outside, heat-stained metal. Only the later Hercules engines would this not be visible, as shown in the right-hand drawing below. Silver Fox
Thanks Dogsbody I'll look at that. More progress, decaling complete and the intake trumpets repositioned. Radar fit to be added and then it needs a matt coat.
