Messerschmitt Bf108 "Taifun", serving in spanish skies....

Recommended Posts

Hi all....Today, my brother in law gave me this kit...he got if from a friend who quit from scale building, and it finally came to my hands. My brother in law just builds sci-fi kits, so no interesting at all for him...

I'm thinking about building her a a spanish example. A few of them came to Spain during the SCW, and the general consensus is that they were painted either overall RLM25 or RLM02....too boring for me.

After the war, they were pressed into Ejército del Aire service, renamed L15, (enLace) and given new colours:

Given the fact that this is an unexpected "new kid on the block", I didn't have any plan to build a second example, so have never thought about a different colour than that seen during the war....that third one looks like some kind of cream colour, and that maroon flash looks quite sexy in the tiny plane.....What do you think about it???

best regards

I'm with "Uncle", that red / cream scheme is the best. It looks like the original civil version paint scheme complete with "Taifun" title and Messerschmitt logo.
