First unread post

I’m on another forum for VW Campervans and when I click onto “new posts” it shows a list of threads which have been updated and then when I open each thread it automatically takes me to the last post I’d read. I’m obviously doing something wrong here as each time I open a thread it takes me to post 1 page 1 irrespective of how much of that thread I’ve already read. So, what am I doing wrong?

Once you've entered the particular forum you want to view, click on the symbol to the left of the forum header and that will take you to your latest unread post.

I KNEW there had to be a way to do it but I’m blowed if I could find it.
