Instruction header sheet and decals Instructions And parts A donation at Jet Age, which became mine for a modest sum. I've just found a receipt in the box for a local toy-shop, dated 1997, costing £2.95. Bargain! badger
Ooh - this brings back happy memories. I built all the matchbox armour as a kid and thought they were the best things ever!

theplasticsurgeon
Started! Thus far just a brush coat of Humbrol 225 over the parts. None removed from spurs a yet. All my Panzers become targets in scenes like this. 3

theplasticsurgeon
Progress of sorts, the chassis is coming together. With a roadwheel sacrificed to the carpet-monster. Some repainting a detail will follow - this dryfit of the body. This kit is the most problematic I've seen in ages. My cement just doesn't work, so resorting to superglue - loads of it. I think it's drenched in release agent, such that nothing sticks to it. Edited December 19, 2018 by theplasticsurgeon correction
PlaStix
Hi Tim. Good to see this is underway but it's a shame about the glue. I must admit I wash all my kits in warm soapy water before making them to get rid of any release agents. Some modellers suggest this isn't as necessary for modern kits but I still do it anyway - just in case. Hope you manage to get the rest of it together okay. theplasticsurgeon
Added more parts tonight, including that long gun.
Badder
Coming along nicely. One question though - how on earth did you lose a road wheel? Even at that scale they can't be 'unfindable'. Mayhaps your carpet is deep-pile, or you've got bare floorboards with some gaps between? Personally, I'd let no part escape me. I've gotten down on my knees and searched every square centimetre of my carpet before, looking for a 'pinged' aerial mount. It took me hours, but I found it in the end - stuck to the sole of my sock! theplasticsurgeon
Airbrushed with the sand colour, much smoother finish.

theplasticsurgeon
Tracks. Installed last night. Today I fitted the upper superstructure. And went round the roadwheels with gelpen. The front two are steel, because of the weight.

PlaStix
Hi Tim. Good to see more progress. It might just be the light quality in the photos but the brown looks a little pink? Kind regards, Stix
theplasticsurgeon
I think this one was more like polythene than polystyrene - hence difficult to paint. Well - that's my excuse. The barrel support part was lost, and I fabricated another from card yesterday. Just found the original, and refitted it, requiring some repainting of the front, and that brown camo. And one weathering. declaring completion. My first for 2019 - Happy New Year. Edited January 1, 2019 by theplasticsurgeon New photo
Badder
Happy new year. Congrats on winning the 'first to finish' trophy. Your lifetime's supply of 'slow-curing glue' is in the post! Rearguards, Badder

Rearguards Badder Sir, I would like to buy the patent on these special modellers' sticky-bottomed, parts-finding socks... now, to interest the Big H in helping market them...
