Saddler Posted December 11, 2018 Posted December 11, 2018 Hi All and Seasons Greetings, My latest build is an Airfix 1/72 Tomahawk built virtually OOB apart from new wing gun barrels from 0.5mm brass tubing and some aerial wires from fishing line. This was a nice build with no major problems, bought it at Aldi about four years ago. The Azure and Dark Earth is Vallejo Model Air and the Middlestone is AmmoMig acrylic. some pastels and dilute colours were used for weathering. The photos unfortunately show how my canopy masking sucks 😪 Constructive comments welcome as usual !!! Next up Hasegawa SH-60B 24
Roger Newsome Posted December 11, 2018 Posted December 11, 2018 Very nice, I think I'll have to add one of those to the list.
depressed lemur Posted December 11, 2018 Posted December 11, 2018 Very nice. I just remembered that I have one of these in the deep stash.
Michael51 Posted December 11, 2018 Posted December 11, 2018 Nice work indeed and a subtle use of the camo paints. Something to do with that thing called 'scale effect'. Michael
dogsbody Posted December 11, 2018 Posted December 11, 2018 That looks quite nice to me. As for the canopy, the masking doesn't look too bad. What I would have done is paint it the interior colour first and after that had dried, paint the exterior colour. Right now, you can see light coming through the paint. Chris
Corsairfoxfouruncle Posted December 12, 2018 Posted December 12, 2018 Well done on your Tomohawk. 👍 And in the best Camouflage as well.
